VMware released VMware vCenter Update Manager 4.0 Update 1 Patch 1 on February 25th. This bug fix release resolves issues with the Cisco Nexus 1000V virtual switch and improves performance when scanning ESX hosts that are contained in a cluster.

In previous releases Update Manager would scan hosts in a cluster sequentially; the patch changes this behavior so hosts are scanned in parallel, greatly enhancing scan speeds.
