This is an excellent interview with Mark Egan – CIO of VMware.

   Mark Egan – Forbes Interview

Mark makes some excellent points that Small and Medium Businesses should consider as they explore their options for Cloud Computing.  Companies should look at utilizing cloud based services for their Tier 2 and 3 Apps. Begin with low risks services and as you gain a level of comfort with Cloud Computing you can begin to move Mission Critical Applications into the Cloud.  Another area of opporutnity to utilize the cloud is for Test and Development.  Why pay for infrastructure that is not needed on a daily basis when you can utilize the Cloud to provision these services on an as needed basis.
