A Microsoft Patch recently released breaks vSphere client functionality. If you receive the following error while trying to connect to vCenter:
Could Not Connect: Error parsing the server “insert your virtual center server” “clients.xml” file. Login will continue, contact your system administrator.

VMware announced yesterday the release of SRM 4.0– fully compatible with vSphere 4. With hardware compatibility aside, there is now no reason to NOT upgrade your ESX/ESXi servers to vSphere 4 (assuming you have an Active SnS contract).
