Each year the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce honors the best and brightest of the Midlands technology community at the Palmetto Pillar Awards. The Columbia Information Technology Council honors a number of technology leaders, innovators and IT executives for their outstanding vision, leadership and support of technology initiatives in the Midlands.

Nominations are free and open to the public. Top recipients will be honored at an awards banquet on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at the Zone at Williams Brice Stadium.
