Business Development Associate

eGroup, a technology solutions provider headquartered in Charleston, is looking for a motivated Business Development Associate to join our team, learn the eGroup story, and work side by side with our experienced Account Executives. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent grad to join a growing organization with the opportunity to learn from the best and eventually transition into an Account Executive position.

As an eGroup Business Development Associate, you will utilize your skills and drive to assist your dedicated AE in extending eGroup’s products, services, and solutions to customers and prospects. You must be motivated to provide excellent customer service, work well in a team environment, and be self-reliant. The right individual will not be afraid to make cold calls, ask the tough questions and do what it takes to assist our AE’s in getting their foot in the door with potential customers.

We are looking for the best of the best to:

  • Serve as single point of contact for your dedicated AE
  • Work with your dedicated AE to create, coordinate, and execute quarterly GTM plans for prospecting new business in your territory
  • Assist your Account Executive in developing and closing new opportunities through cold calls to potential customers, customer research, LinkedIn research, social channel optimization and various other lead sourcing activities
  • Responsible for researching new and potential customers, utilizing tools such as LinkedIn to do a deep dive into potential leads, identifying the correct individuals to speak with in each organization and setting up an initial call with that lead and your AE
  • Coordinating with Marketing for targeted emails, events, seminars
  • Qualify leads and work opportunities as appropriate handing off to AE when necessary
  • Assist your Account Executive in closing new opportunities by coordinating pre-sales technical resources and delivering the solution or quote to the customer
  • Develop a targeted list of current customers in assigned territory with a goal of developing new business to penetrate and radiate existing account base
  • Stay abreast of market technology trends, while being able to clearly understand and sell our services and offerings
  • Other duties as necessary to grow revenue and GM in the territory
  • Any other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 to 3 years of previous inside sales or marketing experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing, organization, task prioritization and customer service skills
  • Able to communicate complicated technical issues, with effective presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and flexible to work with little to no supervision
  • Determined work attitude that delivers results, not effort
  • Should be able to work as a team member and by themselves
  • Should have negotiation skills to deal with different kinds of customers
  • Able to meet deadlines along with working under pressure
  • Highly innovative and proactive
