(Huntersville, NC) - MDC Max Daetwyler AG was founded in 1943 in Dietikon-Zurich, Switzerland, by Mr. Max Daetwyler. MDC began servicing the printing industry with a range of diversified auxiliary equipment. After relocating to Bleienbach, Switzerland in 1954, the company also serviced the aviation industry in rebuilding airplanes and manufacturing spare parts for civilian and military aircrafts as well as the European Intelsat Zenith space program. In 1975 a US Subsidiary was founded in New York by Max Daetwyler’s son, Peter. Max Daetwyler Corporation USA began supplying the gravure printing industry within the USA and Canada with doctor blade sales and equipment service. With the steady, rapid growth of the US location and the desire to improve their ability to service their customers, the US corporate headquarters relocated from NY to Huntersville, North Carolina in 1990.
